About the Project
The E-Counseling Software (EBS) is a comprehensive platform for setting up and configuring complete and secure online counseling services. As Head of IT and Lead Software Developer at the Institute for E-Counseling at the Technical University of Nuremberg, I am significantly involved in the development of this software.
Features
The EBS offers various methods for connecting people seeking advice with counselors:
- Mail Counseling: Personal, data-protected, and anonymous interface to professional counselors or volunteers
- Forums: Moderated counseling forum for publicly visible exchange
- Chat: Real-time or time-delayed message exchange for individuals or groups
- Video Counseling: Direct face-to-face exchange in real-time
Security and Certification
Data security is the top priority for the EBS. All products are hosted on servers within Germany that are certified according to the ISO 27001:2013 standard. Additionally, the Technical University of Nuremberg is certified according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
